Its just possible that Santa hasn’t fulfilled all your dreams. Perhaps the elves couldn’t wrap up love, freedom, ecstasy, health, world peace and a clean environment, or perhaps they knew we would enjoy and grow through co -creating (or helping to re-create) these things.
If New Year’s resolutions or traditional goal setting ideas don’t help, you might like to try a feminine alternative. All of us have some feminine traits (as well as some masculine traits), and we can all benefit from both approaches for different desires. The masculine approach makes things happen through focus, discipline, doing and control. The feminine approach is based on feeling, allowing, co-operation, incubating and joy. The difference may not be visible to outsiders but it feels different to those involved or affected. (more…)

The winter solstice honours all the seasons, including the feminine or yin darkness and internal focus of winter, anticipates and celebrates the return of the light. In honour of this, I want to celebrate some women who have matured in obscurity and emerged to offer us all new hope and inspiration.

There are a few simple and extremely effective techniques or processes that have been extremely useful to me but each only takes me so far. Eventually, we have to feel our way forward in unmapped territory without a method, treading the fine line between allowing a process to unfold and steering it.
Richard Bartlett mastered a number of healing modalities before discovering Matrix Energetics and yet, sometimes, he does not know what to do for a client. Instead of applying a technique or intention he waits for clarity on what, if anything, will actually help. This is not easy - clients expect us to do something, to know the answers, to earn our money and not waste their time - but the most effective thing can be to wait for the whatever is needed to be drawn out of us.
This is also one of the best ways to grow our skills … (more…)

A couple of tidbits from an article about neuroscience :-
- Prozac and other treatments for depression appear to work, at least in part, by creating new brain cells. Depression and stress, on the other hand, limit the production of new brain cells and even kill old ones.
- New brain cells are also essential to birdsong. To sing their complex melodies, male birds need new brain cells. In fact, up to 1% of the neurons in the bird’s song center are created anew, every day.
To be happy, creative, original & effective, we may also need new brain cells daily. And, rather like the chicken and the egg, when we are happy, creative, original and effective, we are almost certainly renewing our own brain cells. (more…)

Prevention is easier than cure, and more important than wanting more
To me, the most important implication of the outside reflecting the inside is not trying to get more of what we want but avoiding mishaps.
The No.1 most important key to staying healthy is avoiding accidents. Staying healthy is pretty important for quality of life and makes financial, relationship, social and other success more likely. Good relationships and avoiding poverty are also major contributors to both health and quality of life and avoiding ‘accidents’, like choosing the wrong person, group or investment or losing the right one, has a huge impact on relationship and financial health. Obtaining the ‘Knowledge and conversation of your holy guardian angel’
I recently read Newcomb’s ’21st Century Mage’ about obtaining the ‘Knowledge and conversation of your holy guardian angel’. In the book we are told that our holy guardian angel is ready and waiting and, yet, the process of obtaining the goal takes some months of committed effort.
For someone looking for a ‘truly easy and flexible approach’, another book, ‘The Inner Guide Meditation’ by Edwin Steinbrecher is recommended as a ’simple way of contacting your Holy Guardian Angel through the subjective figure of an "inner Guide".’ (more…)

In our culture we tend to focus on looking younger, especially if we want to attract a partner. If, instead, we focus on being younger we will tend to look younger and, more importantly, we will have a lot more energy.
Having more energy allows us to do, enjoy, create and contribute more, it is fundamental to health and vitality and it may be crucial in thriving through challenging times. It may also be key in having the law of attraction work consistently, because, in order to attract what we want we have to emit an energetic signal. When what we want is specific to us, this energy signal has to be especially clear and consistent. (more…)

The power of states
Linear, predictable processes that guarantee that if we do x and y long and hard enough, we will get z, work for some things, some of the time. To connect with our divinity, be creative or original, transform ourselves, our health, lives, relationships, communities or the planet, much more becomes possible or a whole lot easier if we first change our state.

No posts from me recently as I am focused on my own continuing development. One thing I have learnt is that we have individually and collectively shrunk in terms of consciousness and energy. In other words, as young children we were each bigger and at one time everyone of us was bigger. If we are to achieve all of our vision and be of significant help to others and our world, and not be prey for bullies, we need to expand our consciousness and energy. (more…)

Towards the end of my husband’s life I noticed that I was broken inside. I was still functioning effectively, so it did not feel as though what was broken was my ego, and I do not think anyone else noticed. (more…)
